Welcome! If you are new here hi and if you aren’t then welcome back. This is a series I do most every Friday to keep me on track of posting at least once a week and a way for you to get to know me outside of photography and selling shirts. In this series I give my opinion on movies, articles, tv shows, etc and share my top 3 of the week. It’s Finally Friday: Jan 17th and today we are talking about veterans and robbing banks.
So I was browsing movies to watch the other night and I came across Breaking. I had never heard of the movie and I didn’t even remember the event and I was in Atlanta at the time. It’s a true story that happened in 2017.
I am familiar with how veterans are treated. So many are homeless after they have fought some are homeless because of what they have had to turn to and some just simply don’t receive the help that they need. I can’t imagine going to war and coming back trying to be a part of civilian life and having the war in your mind it’s not a way to live daily and I am so saddened for them. I know a few veterans and they just want what’s theirs like the man in the movie. They have to fight and most get answers these days but it takes a minute and sometimes they don’t have that long to wait they need help now. In the movie, he wants his money and it’s not even a lot of money he just wants what is his but he doesn’t understand how it works and that they took the money for school. It’s confusing but it’s a great movie to watch. I won’t spoil it for you but it’s a sad ending. Make sure you check it out on Amazon Prime.
Top 3 of the week……
Top 3 charities that I love to donate to
Alzheimer’s Association – My uncle and my grandmother had this so I am a huge advocate of this organization
Shatterproof – to help those with addictions
Feeding America – I was actually a part of this a couple of years ago and I love helping out when I can
Bonus the Ronald Mcdonald House – I toured there a few years ago and I loved seeing how they helped families firsthand.
