It’s Finally Friday: May 31st

I know I’ve been missing for my series but it’s because I had my sons graduation and others to attend. I’m am done with all the grads so congrats to them. I am tired but we are back with our It’s Finally Friday series and it’s May 31st the last day of the of the month. This year is going by fast as hell is it not or is it just me. It’s probably just me I am hoping to slow down this Summer and just take a break. I live in my car from August to May and look forward to two months of living in my home more than my car. If you are new here this is the place to be to get my opinion on things. Without further ado…let’s talk about tips for new bloggers.

It's Finally Friday: May 31st

This video is great for new bloggers.

I did a blog post about blogging a while ago but this is a great video on what to do and what not to do.

I love blogging. It’s a great way to get my thoughts out of my head and onto something that I own. SEO is so important and people can find you without even following you on social. Blogging also lives on forever whereas social media goes by so quickly. Follow her tips above and start your blog today. The section at the end where she says don’t do too much is true. I wish I had only focused on 2 things when I started blogging. I tried to do all the things and it was a failure. I should have focused on my writing and then on one social media platform. Pinterest can garner you a lot of traffic but don’t forget about your newsletter too. I wish I spent more time building that.

Top 3 things…..

Top 3 ideas for series I would start on a blog….

  1. Do a dear diary series where you talk about something personal that will help someone else. Maybe start something where people ask you questions and you give your honest opinion.
  2. 5 things I bought this week. We always buying things. If you haven’t bought 5 things put down 5 things you want to buy and place an affiliate link with at least two of the items.
  3. Weekly Agenda – This is great for holding you accountable and having others join in. What are your goals for the week, plans for the week, maybe add in what you will be eating this week or doing around the home.
