Can you remember your first date with your special someone? What about your sweet sixteen? Wedding day? Favorite Christmas?
Let’s try again…
Take out your favorite photo album, and start going through the pictures. What do you remember about those beautiful moments? You’re not thinking about the likes or the shares, but for us – the ability to hold and touch. That’s the power of a relevant photograph. Let’s answer the question of why it’s important to take photos that matter.
You might ask why I take photos so seriously. Let me tell you a story.
My husband died at a young age. For his pictures for his funeral, I was the only one that had updated pics of him. Had I not taken those photos my daughter wouldn’t have a picture of the two of them framed in her room. My son wouldn’t be able to high-five his dad in his framed picture every morning on his way out of the door. It’s important to take photos because it matters more than you know.
My life has gone through a lot of different paths, sometimes it has even taken unexpected turns; but when I feel down, I always take out my favorite photo albums and start going through them. They immediately transport me back to simpler, happy times, and I always end up in a better mood.
