5 questions I get as a photographer

People are always asking me questions about photography. A lot of it can be answered on my FAQ page. Here are 5 more questions I get as a photographer.

Why do the pictures on your social media page not look professional? Separate me as a person from my work. You know how folks go to work and they are one way but in real life they are different? Well, that’s me. I’m a fool in these streets and my feed reflects that. You get to see the real me as a person to see if I fit who you want to hire with your coins. My work is on my profile and trust me it looks good.

My phone takes photos why do I need to hire you? I think your phone is good for feed photos (social media) and reels but some brands want a more professional picture taken so that it can be manipulated better to maybe fit their aesthetics or they can take it and blow it up bigger for commercial use outside of social media. Larger-scale work requires a team and a professional camera.

I’m an influencer, can I hire you in exchange for exposure? I’m cheap already and I don’t need the exposure. Now I do offer freebies throughout the year but of course, you would have to have hired me before to get that so no.

Why are you so cheap? You must not be that good. Think of me as your starting photographer. When you start a business you want quality photos without having to spend a lot. I love decorating my home with home goods for half the price. It still looks good but I’m not paying an arm and a leg for it.

Do you own a studio? I get this question a lot. I do not. There is none in the area of Atlanta that I live in that is nice. It’s on my list to open but for now, if you want to shoot in a studio I use Peerspace and Home Studio list. You can go on there and pick your spot. I also have a few spots that I love on my own list that I can recommend depending on what type of shoot you want.

Any other questions for me? Ask in the comments and I’ll answer them.
