Do you make it a habit to set goals and deadlines for your small business? If not, you should. It is good practice. Before we enter into 2025, or better yet finish out the last quarter of 2024, create a bucket list for your small business. Hare some suggestions on how to set a business bucket list for your business that ignites growth.
Set revenue goals
I know that the economy has kind of made it difficult to generate income with jobs letting go left and right, AI coming and taking over, and many people not being able to live off of anything less than $20 an hr. but you can set your last quarter revenue goals and projections. Break down what you can do with what you have and make a realistic list of goals when it comes to finances and money.
Get Help
Even if it is just seasonal, statistics shows that you are more likely to scale your small business when you hire help. Hire your kids if they can work these internet streets they can help you with your business. Have them take your pics, have them do canva for you, have them even help you more around the house so that you can get more things done. You can also hire from Fiverr for cheaper until you start making money in your business to hire on a bigger scale.
Partner with other businesses
As many business owners will tell you, it is just as important to network across as it is to network up. I know I know, you want to join the ranks of Fortune 500 executives and bosses. You can get there one day, but find local businesses in their field and niche to partner with on things like marketing, promotion, and events for example.
Host a holiday event
With so many holidays coming up pick one to host an event and make yourself stand out. There are other holidays besides Christmas and you can start early. Many people love the 4th of July or even Halloween and don’t forget the kids going back to school….that’s a holiday within itself lol.
Add perks and benefits
While most small businesses struggle to offer employees full-time positions and benefits, you may want to consider what other perks you can offer to keep employee morale high. Partnering with fellow businesses may come in handy here as well. How about employee discounts for products and services offered in-house, or catering breakfast or lunch one day a month courtesy of a local business you’ve connected with.
Be charitable
Donate to charity– tying your company to a cause or corporate social responsibility may be the thing to separate your business from one that’s merely operating to one that’s sustainable. Volunteering at shelters, and sponsoring a food drive can help with your business’ charitable causes while generating exposure for the business.
A business bucket list that ignites growth is essential as we move toward uncertain times. What kind of bucket list can you create for your business or even for yourself?
