Embracing the Summer Vibes: My bucket list

Embracing the Summer Vibes: My bucket list

Welcome to June! Every Summer I create a bucket list and every Summer I fail that list. I may do one or two things on it but ultimately I usually stay in bed all summer to rest up from living in my car from August to May of every year. When I say I live in my car that means I take my daughter to school, pick her up, and she has after-school activities at least 3 times a week on top of me having a side hustle of photography. When Summer hits I slow down a lot very little photoshoots as people are traveling and no school. I get more than 3 hours of sleep and my body is grateful. I usually save a ton of money and I lose a lot of weight because I get rest and I eat at home. This summer I’m embracing the summer vibes and going with the flow but I want to create at least 5 things I would like to do this Summer for my bucket list.

I would love to make my own ice cream. I may have to buy a machine for this but I have always wanted to make my own.

Walk more. I went to the doctor and my weight was more than when I was pregnant with kids. I have to get that down so we will be doing more movement

Get out of the house and try one new restaurant a week. I tried to do this last Summer and we only did about 3 new spots the entire summer. I am going to try again and this time bring some friends along.

Pick up my big boy camera for more than just work and capture my kids and myself around the home. I’ll add that I also need to relearn photoshop over the summer.

Take a class or certificate in something that can boost my resume as I try to spice it up just a little because if you stay ready you never have to get ready.

What are your plans for the Summer? What’s one thing you will get done no matter what?

Hey Kita! Good stuff! I can relate on the weight issue. Nip it now before you get old like me. I started using a meal tracker, LoseIt! and logging my meals. I eat a hellalot of sugary things. Thankfully, this app is helping me learn how to eat better. I’ve already lost almost 3 lbs. in 1 week and walked more. If you make your own ice cream, please post about it. I’m thinking of doing some frozen yogurt but need some molds for it. Hope you and the kids have a fab summer!

I have no other plans, really. Tending to house and being able to survive going back to work in the office full-time. That is going to be killa!

I will look into the meal tracker. I used to log meals but got lazy and stopped. I am buying the ice cream maker dash ice cream maker and will try it out. Back to work in an office is something I don’t wanna do

Love your summer bucket list! I hope you’re able to fulfill your list this season. My dad used to make homemade ice cream when I was a kid. I never understood why he loved making it so much when we could buy it at the store. Lol! But now that I’m older, I get it now and I find myself missing when he made homemade ice cream.

My summer plans are to take it slow, help my oldest son get his info/documents ready for his first semester of college (!!!), read a bunch of romance novels, and go to events/places in Michigan that I have never visited before!
