I prefer to text

I’m back joining in with Marsha for 10 on the 10th. We are talking about telephones and things. This is a fun way for me to blog old school and for you all to get to know me. I prefer to text though it’s something about getting straight to the point that I love. Here are the questions!

What kind of phone did you have when you were a kid…landline or cell phone?

I had a landline. I didn’t even know cell phones existed like that til maybe my Junior year of high school. I did have a pager though lol

Do you remember party lines?

I had to look that up on google. I never did those but it has to be the same version of these kids who do group texts these days.

What was your first cell phone?

It was a Nokia the old block looking phone where you could not text. I didn’t know that when I came to college that the phone carrier didn’t have a carrier in GA so my bill was over 500 bucks and no one told us or they probably did but I wasn’t paying attention and my mom didn’t know.

Do you still have a landline?

I just got rid of it as of Feb 24th 2023. I held on to it for a while to make sure I didn’t miss anything and people still called for my hubs on there so I kept it. Plus the phone didn’t really work well in my area but now they have put up a new tower so it was time to let it go.

Do you screen your phone calls?

Yes. If you aren’t saved in my phone you will go to voice message or you need to text me. I will not answer.

What is the longest amount of time you’ve spent on the phone?

Maybe 1 hour. I am not a phone person so I like to say what I need to say and get off.

What is your current phone?

I have 2 one for business and one for personal. My business phone is an iphone 13 and my personal is a Samsung ultra s22 (still android and I love my android better than the iphone don’t come for me)

Do you use your smartphone only as a phone?

No. I use it to be on social media and to edit photos and take photos since I am a photographer there is always going to be a camera in my hand.

When you were a kid, did you play “Telephone”?

I had to go look that up. That is not what we called it. I did use to prank call though lol

Does your significant other have a special ringtone?

I don’t have a significant other yet but I think the special ringtone thing is played out. If he has my personal phone he gets the same ringtone as everyone else
