It’s Finally Friday: August 11th

It’s Finally Friday and the bills are getting higher and higher. I don’t know about you but everything is costly. I’m glad it’s Friday tough and I can save on some gas by keeping it to a minimum for the weekend. If you are new here for It’s Finally Friday this is where I talk about something I saw this week that was interesting (social media post, move, documentary, news article, podcast, etc) and I give my opinion on it. I saw this post on Twitter the other day and I thought hmmmm perfect way to summarize the messed up world we live in. What really gathered me was when the lady said at the 8:35 mark. They pay influencers all this money yet hard-working folk don’t make shat. Now as a former small key influencer I was like wait a min…she kinda right. Teachers don’t get paid what influencers get paid and I feel that they do more work. Sorry not sorry for my comment. Sure you have to put together videos and concepts to help a brand but are you dealing with over 50 kids per day and not making enough to even afford sometimes the very thing the influencer is selling? I stopped doing influencer on that type of scale. I’ll do an affiliate link every so often but other than that I’m not sharing anything that is pricey or that I wouldn’t buy myself with my own money.

Financial advice that I can give for 2023

1. If you can’t buy it twice you can’t afford it. House, car, the total price of a vacation.
2. Understand where you are spending your money – Little bills add up if you don’t need it get rid of it. Also, make sure you pay for what you need before you get what you want
3. Live way below your means. If you make 80k a year live like you make 60k a year.
