This Finally Friday looks a little different. I’m combining my series with Marsha in the Middle and her 10 on the 10th. I love blogging and it’s funny to see people say they want to return to it. It’s how I met so many great people and got to know them too. It’s an online personal diary for me and I love to let others get a peek into my life this also gives you a chance to know me on a different level to know if you want to work with me (photography) or purchase from me (my t-shirts). So this series highlights 10 questions don’t he 10th of every month. You should join us for some fun on these internet streets. Without further ado it’s Finally Friday, Jan 10th and here are 10 things I want to remember or forget about 2024.
I will do 5 of each and then give my top 3 things I want to change for 2025.
I want to forget about the 3 times I ended up in the emergency room as a person who doesn’t get sick I was not a happy camper.
I want to forget about my 2nd car accident that I have ever had in my life. First one was at 17 this one I was in my 40’s. I’m an old school driver who was taught in school not via a video game
I want to forget the amount of money I spent unnecessarily. I am like where did my money go last year…mostly to things I didn’t need.
I want to forget that time I was on the dating apps…it was a mess and I quickly had to get off. Way too many married men or men who are in relationships already.
I don’t want to remember those whom I have lost. 2024 was a hard year remembering them I made it through but grief is rough.
I want to remember my kindness
I want to remember my son graduating he is grown now and I am proud
I want to remember the boundaries I set…a lot of people didn’t like them and the boundaries were for them.
I want to remember meeting so many new people in 2024 even picked up a few new friends
I want to remember the blessings God has given me. His grace and mercy got me through the year.
My top 3 things I want to change in 2025
I want to change the way I eat. Have y’all looked at the back of labels with the added extra sugar my gawd.
I want to change who gets my time…time is a precious resource and I can’t give it to everyone
I want to change my way of thinking and learn how to have more grace towards others.

Funny for the day. So I have breakfast duty at work and one morning a couple of the 8th graders kept looking my way. I had to go pass them to speak with another group of students and saw them looking at me again. I jokingly said, “Why are you guys staring at me? I know I look good and all, but you don’t have to stare.” Oh they got a good laugh out if that.
Later that day, a few of the same group were trying to get in for tutoring. As I was approaching the door I started listening to what they were saying. Mind you they didn’t know I could hear them. I heard a student make a comment I wasn’t expecting and I stopped in my tracks. Another student said, oh you know she gonna fuss at us because we didn’t make it in for tutoring on time. Another student was like, “Yeah, she always got something to say” another said just smile and be nice. I went on to open the door and told them I could hear everything they were saying and repeated the comment that made me stop in my tracks, which was, “there’s Ms. J with that fat boonkie. If you’re from South Cackalacky, you’ll understand that word. So I said, I could hear everything you said and none of you should have been looking at my boonkie. Oh they were embarrassed. But guys, I didn’t know if I should take this as an insult or a compliment. 🤔
My point to all of this, I’m starting to work out to get my body in better shape.
