It’s Finally Friday: Jan 3, 2025

It’s going to take some time for me to write 2025 but here we are. Happy New Year! Welcome to It’s Finally Friday: Jan 3, 2025. We are back with our series where I talk all things movies, articles, tips, etc. I hope your holidays have been enjoyable. We started this year in a truly WTF manner (Wed, Thurs, Friday) because what is going on with the attacks from army veterans. I am saddened by that and I pray for the families who have had to lose a loved one on New Years day. New Years will never be the same for them. Let’s do something good and talk about a Singer that I love and his documentary. Welcome to the First Friday of 2025.

It's Finally Friday: Jan 3, 2025

I watched Luther the CNN presents Documentary on him. I liked it and it was sad how he seemed to live for others but didn’t really truly live for him. You couldn’t tell me Luther was gay back in the day because of his love songs but after watching the documentary I was like yes he is and he couldn’t come out because he knew what that would do to his career. His documentary taught me that if you don’t live in your truth you will die and not be truly happy. I love me some Luther I have a Spotify list dedicated to just him and his music. I would have liked the documentary to feature more of his life but I don’t think they have a lot of his life he truly lived a pretty much private one. He performed and his weight kept him from doing a lot too. I can understand the up and down weight and he did the best that he could. I pray that he found peace in his last days. If you haven’t watched the documentary do so you may walk away learning something.

My top 3…

My top 3 Luther Songs…..it’s hard to pick 3 but I did my best. These aren’t your typical Luther songs but these are the ones I love.

Don’t you know that?

Hearts get broken all the time. I had just broken up with my boyfriend so I had this song on repeat.

Better Love. I play this all the time the musical arrangement on this was so different. I heard this at a party when I was younger and never forgot the song even though I never knew he sang it.
