Y’all know when we were young we would play tea party. Well, I got mad at my stuffed animals when they didn’t ack right at the table. I had a beautiful porcelain set and I remember my mom would only let me put water in them she said she didn’t want them messed up. It’s a little girl’s dream to have a tea party and last week I was able to live my adult kid dreams and have an adult tea party with a drank or two. It’s always a good time when you can get together with your people and talk the tea while sipping the tea. Let’s get into the tea as I tell you about my experience. It’s tea time at the Dirty Tea Atlanta come along and let’s talk.
So first the parking…I don’t like it. You do have to pay which is the norm for most things in Atlanta. Prepare to just pay because trying to find a parking spot in the area where the Dirty Tea is located is going to be hell. Just pay your money and call it a day. Now originally I wasn’t going to go because I haven’t dressed dressed in a while. When folks say tea party my mind automatically goes to Kentucky Derby-style dressing. So I went to Instagram and I saw folks in jeans I was like well wait I don’t have to be that dressed so I decided to go. (it was also my birthday week hence the candle cupcake)
The place was gorgeous! I am so proud of my black people who come correct cause y’all know how some of these black businesses look and smell….need I say more? The place was beautiful and the owners even better. I’ve been in Atlanta for over 20 years and this is the first time I’ve encountered an owner who gives top-notch customer service. I was like she must not be from here lol.
Let’s get into the real tea….
The tea was fabulous. I’m a tea girl more than a coffee girl so I love tea and it was so good. They give honey and sugar to the table along with small bites. Now if you trying to eat this ain’t the place for you but if you are trying to sit and have a conversation without worrying about food you are good to go. The vibes and the tea are a 10/10. I’ve never given any place in Atlanta this type of score and those who know me know I don’t lead you wrong so you can trust my word. Go for a girl’s day, go alone, take your daughter (they have to be 12) do a date day with your boo and do something different, go for a birthday party, go for a graduation, go for a catch-up session with your family. Just go if you are ever in Atlanta. It can also be a gift to someone deserving too.
