It's too much competition

It’s too much competition

We all know that there are 50 million 11 or some odd numbers of bloggers out there. Over 10,000 photographers out there. Millions of t-shirt companies (I am all of these things btw) and countless other types of competition. I am a big believer that no one is you but just in case you didn’t hear me let’s talk about how to deal with competition to come out on top.

I read a post the other day that made me come up with this post.

There are two approaches:

Broaden your offerings, make them easier, cheaper and more available. Dumb them down and race to the bottom.

Or…

Focus on the customers who care enough about your idiosyncratic and particular offerings that they’ll not only happily walk away from the lesser alternatives, but they’ll tell the others.

Here is my thing why not do both to beat out your competition? You can make your offerings easier and more available while focusing on the customers who care about your offerings that tell others. If you good you good.

Look at the competition study them and then find a way to make it your own. For example, I am a photographer I have a lot of competition in Atlanta (a lot lol everybody and their mama a photographer). Here is how I stand out

I don’t promote Atlanta I promote the smaller towns like Macon, Athens, Conyers, GA, and focus on those towns where there isn’t a lot of competition.

I am easy when it comes to booking me. Shoot me an email with 3 available dates/times and I will coordinate with my calendar not me trying to make you do something on my time. You paying for this with your money so I want to make it convenient for you, not me.

My focus is and always will be on having a good product for a fraction of the cost because there is no competition when it comes to having good photos of your family or business.
