My personal story with photography

My personal story with photography

As many of you know I’m a photographer. I keep it on the low mostly because I don’t want to lose the love i have for it but many of you may not know my personal story with photography.

I’ll start with my mom. She used to have a camera in my face all the time. One day in high school I yelled at her to please stop taking my pictures I was tired of her taking photos of every little thing like dammit just stop taking the photo. I regretted yelling at her but she stopped….so I thought. She did take a few photos of me when I was pregnant with my son but other than that I had thought that was it. When she died I discovered over 20 albums of photos from the time I was born up until I had my son. That means she took pictures of me throughout high school and when I came home from college without my knowledge. Her being gone brought so many tears to my eyes because she still captured the moments that mattered even when I told her not to. Those books help me with my grief so much.

Then when the hubs died I realized that I always had a camera in my hand and took so many pictures of him. I had pictures to show my kids who may not have remembered him very much from memory but can take a look at the photos to see what kind of father they had.

Those stories were the fire that I needed to start my photography business. I specialize in everything except weddings and babies but I’m known for my family photography.
