I am always having to travel for photoshoots and/or vacations. I am not a plane person (never been on one as of the date of this post) I usually travel by car. When traveling as a black single woman there are precautions that I always take. Number one stay strapped….
2. when I travel with my kids I never put that I”m bringing kids. I always say 2 adults regardless. They don’t know what’s going on
3. always travel on open roads no back roads I don’t care what Waze says (also screenshot the directions too you never know when a tower might be out)
4. let at least 5 people know when you get there and when you leave. Do a video diary of everything perfect way o use social media
5. Pack everything but the kitchen sink lol. I know I do but if you are going for 3 days pack for 4
Here are a few items I always travel with
Travel lock -I have a daughter and sex trafficking is high. I like to have extra protection.
Hotel slippers – I don’t know what be on them people floor
Jewelry travel case – Outfits gotta be popping with the jewelry.
Clear toiletry bags (waterproof) – If it doesn’t fit you must acquit…in other words if it don’t fit don’t carry it.
