So I’ve been on Threads for a few months. I like it. It’s giving me the early days of Twitter without the mess that Twitter has on there right now. Wait it’s now called X…my bad. We will still call it Twitter. I have had a few posts seen over 1k times and I have jumped into conversations a lot. Here is my take on Threads, how I use them daily, and why I still think Twitter (X) is still a tad bit better for now. I also want to tell you that the art of digital banter using threads is a game changer for your business and brand if you want to be heard not seen.
I still miss Twitter but I got off of it. I can still go back on there but I got off due to me being over social media and trying to do it all I had to give something up. Twitter was the first to go then Pinterest. I still pin every now and again but have not been on Twitter in a while (I might go on there for the elections). Threads give the same vibe as early Twitter. Folks steal a lot of content and repurpose it as their own on Threads. I see the same question copied and pasted about 10 times a day or it’s reworded a different way about 5 more times a day. They still tussle on Threads because folks don’t know how to keep it scrolling if they don’t agree with something. I think Threads are for deeper conversations and X is for what’s going on in the world in real time.
I use Threads M – F (weekends it’s a no) and I usually have a schedule. A quote that I will also share on Insta, my agenda for the day, something from my website (blog post, about page, something I might try to sell, affiliate link, etc.) and then I end the night with my thoughts for the night. I fell off with the last two but that is usually the normal pattern I keep on Threads.
Whatever you use X or Threads it’s the ability to banter back and forth with folks using words that makes the two of these apps different. I think it’s perfect for introverts who want to be a part of the conversation without showing their face or taking the time to create videos. You can also make good friends by just jumping into conversations. I met a lot of my friends from the early days of Twitter. Here are some more tidbits on threads.
- Don’t follow everyone from insta on threads…find new people to follow and engage with
- find hashtag threadsjournal….I love how they make it something different on there. Kinda like my project 365 but daily with words
- Have a plan of action on threads. How many times do you want to post and what do you want to post? Be different and stick to your plan
- Jump into at least 5 conversations a day….just jump in and answer the question they ask
- You can save things on threads so if you see something or someone you like save and go back into that saves once a week and do something with what you saved.
If you are on Threads drop your handle below so I can check you out.

Thank you for this!! I needed it cause, honestly, I don’t know what to do with threads, so I haven’t really been using it, but I like the idea of having a schedule! I need more schedules in my life so I can stay on track, I need to do this for my blog as well 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

> AnnaMaeOrMaeNotYep have a schedule it makes it easier. And just jump into conversations that make sense and build network. It’s like networking without the pics and videos you get to network on words alone
