I recently went on a trip to Miami for the 4th. I hadn’t been to Miami since I was 20 years old. Over 20 years later I find myself back in Miami but this time I wasn’t in the pork and beans area and I didn’t hear gunshots for most of the night cause a bish was shook last time I went. Anywhoo seeing Miami again as an older young lady gave me a new appreciation for the city. I saw it with older eyes and I didn’t have an itinerary just vibes and my camera. I am a huge fan of travel and taking the photos but what camera do you use if you don’t want to put all those pics on your cell phone? Let’s talk about it.
Of course, you have your cell phone camera. That’s the best camera to have when going on vacation because it’s always with you. Personally I forget to take photos with my cell phone because I’m a photographer and I’m used to a camera in my hand. When I go on vacation I automatically bring my camera to take photos never really thinking about my cell phone. It works though and I did take some great pics with mine.
For reference, I have the Apple 13 something. (I have Apple for work Android for personal so I don’t know anything about Apple stuff)

As you can see there isn’t much of a difference. Honestly, you can’t really see the difference unless you make the photos bigger. Any camera you have will do the job and if you want to make it razzle dazzle then all you have to do is add some filters to it.
Now what camera do I use when I travel? I use my Canon R6. I already own it so I don’t have to buy a special camera to travel but if you want something smaller I would recommend either the Canon G7 x mark 2 or 3 (can’t find the 3 as of this post) or the Fujifilm x-t5 which I had but sold it because I don’t need an extra camera when I have one. I gotta learn to use what I have but it’s a beauty.
If you don’t want to spend a lot use your phone but if you want pics you can blow up and print or maybe you love photography and want to truly get your feet wet in it I recommend you check these cameras out. You can also rent a camera and try it before you buy it. Here in Atlanta, I use Aperturent to rent cameras. So if you don’t want to buy but want to take fab photos on your next trip just rent a camera.
