I have a friend that is moving for her job to a new city and she asked me Kita, how do I meet new people? She initially didn’t want to take the job because she was afraid that he would be alone in a new city. First, there is a thing called a plane and she can go see her friends when she can also a new job means meeting people right there. Start with the job (although I’m wearing of making friends at a job it’s a start) and then work your way around town. Also thank gawd for Facetime because you can literally go out to eat with your friends, read a book with your friends, and watch a movie with your friends while in another city. But if you are an extrovert here are some tips….
Find a hobby and take a class. Love to dance take a dancing class. Bake…baking class
Local Facebook groups. I’m a part of a photographer one and also a black widow group on Facebook which has women from everywhere on there
Do community events and volunteer this is a great way to get to know your community by being a part of it
Get on an app. Bumble has one and there are so many more out there.
Use social media and find events in your area. Eventbrite is a great place to start
Find friends of friends. My friend is moving to Charlotte so I hooked her up with a blog buddy of mine out of Charlotte. Don’t be afraid to ask the people you already know for people in new cities.
