Back this month with my favorite series 10 on the 10th. As always I’m joining Marsha with this challenge and since it’s her birthday month I want to wish her a happy birthday. My birthday is in December (Sagittarius in the house) and I always do a theme for my birthday every year. This year I’m thinking my theme will either be 90s or Beauty and the Beast ( one of my favorite Disney movies). With that being said here are 10 things I love about my birthday.
- I love that my birthday is near Christmas. I get a bonus of birthday and holiday stuff
- I love creating themes for my birthday. I also do them for the kids too. It’s like we are naming a new chapter so the theme has to match the new chapter of our lives
- My mom bought me a piece of jewelry every birthday. To this day I still have about 70% of those pieces
- I love that all my friends call me without FB…that’s how you know who your real friends are. They actually call it’s the only day I will allow the call most of the time I prefer text.
- I get to eat cake and not feel bad about it
- All the freebies that I can get for my birthday
- I love that I get to have another birthday because that’s a blessing. This should be number 1.
- I like that its the one time of year that it’s all about you and you should make it all about you. Take off for the day, do something you’ve always wanted to do, buy yourself something. It’s your day have a yes day for you.
- Memories of all my birthdays especially the one where I celebrated a few months earlier at the beach
- It’s the day I was born. That makes me special.

Kita, every single one of these made me smile…especially the one about your mom buying you jewelry. I’ve heard of people buying a pearl every year for a birthday and then finally being able to string it. But, gosh, you’d have to wait a long time for a nice necklace!
I agree that just having a birthday is a special thing! Thanks for playing along, Kita!

I took off for my birthday this year. Usually, I work a half day and once I worked the whole day, but this year I decided to really celebrate myself. So I’m looking forward to a day of relaxation and celebration by crossing something off of my bucket list.

This makes me want to get back into blogging. I haven’t fully let go of it, it’s just been in a long hibernation state. Maybe in the new year I’ll start back. We’ll see. I really liked this list and yes, another year of life should definitely be #1!
