April is here and it’s the month of blooming. Spring cleaning. All the pretty colors and best of all….WARMTH. I am yelling that because I am a Spring girl. I love Spring not as hot as summer but still warm enough to enjoy the outside…the pollen though, but we won’t talk about pollen (bruno, pollen is bruno). This month, I am joining Marsha with the 10 on the 10th, and the prompt is Diamonds are the birthstone for April. Tell us about ten “Diamonds” in your life, real or still in the rough!
My daughter, whose birthday is this month, is a diamond. Did you know that I didn’t want a girl? I was scared. What if she likes to dress up or likes makeup? What if she turns out like me with a smart mouth. I am a tomboy what am I going to do with her. Well, she loves to dress up, and she loves makeup, has a smart mouth, and, well I survived lol.
My mom gave me my first Diamond for my 16th birthday. I still have it. It doesn’t fit me anymore but it was a ring. I want to resize it, but I’m afraid they may mess it up, so I just keep it. I may just put it around my neck instead.
I am the dupe queen. While I love diamonds, I don’t mind a look-a-like. I bought this one to wear in my ears, and no one will know if it’s real or not. I am always afraid of losing expensive jewelry, so I wear the inexpensive ones out, and if I do wear my real jewelry, I’m OCD with them. I have to check on it every 15 minutes lol
My hubs couldn’t afford a nice wedding ring for us, and unfortunately, he died before he could upgrade it, but I will say the ring he got me…I didn’t like it. I never told him that he did his best, but I wanted that upgrade. Maybe the next boo will get that for me. (winks)
My home is a diamond in the rough, meaning it needs some work. I truly want my backyard to be nice so I can vacation back there but it costs so much money and the way the economy is right now, I will just have to deal with the non decorated backyard that I have.
I am a diamond. I’m rare and different, and you can’t find me everywhere. I love that about me.
A diamond in the rough is my car. Can that be a diamond in the rough? It’s dirty I keep my house clean but that car my gawd. It’s because I have kids who just do whatever and I don’t take care of it like I should.
My wardrobe is a diamond in the rough. I wear a lot of blacks and greys with the occasional brown and I half ok more than half of it is sweat pants and t-shirts. I am almost ashamed that I never have nothing to wear if I’m going out and I have to buy stuff. I promised I would do better but sweats are so comfy.
A diamond in the rough is my mind. I am all over the place. I have a t-shirt business that I love but I am not on social enough to promote it then I love my blog but I want to do a photography website. Then I have an idea for a podcast but don’t want to do that either….you see all over the place.
Last but not least, I want to share my favorite song about diamonds.

I love that you are a diamond because you are rare, Kita! We all need to think of ourselves like that. I love Johnnyswim, but I can’t think of the song I like the best right now! See, my brain is a diamond in the rough, too! Thanks for joining in on the fun!
