Core childhood memories

Growing up I was always the quiet child where everyone knew me but I didn’t bother to know anyone. I saw this post about childhood memories and thought I would share some of mine with you all. A few of these stand out to me for some reason and it’s good to take a trip down memory lane.

My mom kept a camera in her hand. That is a childhood memory that made me realize she may have been a low-key photographer. She had a camera on me when I first walked, when I first went to school, all the holidays, and even me running around with my dolls. My mom captured my life perfectly and for that, I am forever grateful because even though she is gone those memories are still there in my mind and in the 20 something albums that I have.

Another childhood memory that I have is that my mom and I used to dress alike every Mother’s Day I tried that with my kids they weren’t having it.

Do you even remember everything from your childhood if it wasn’t captured? I don’t remember vacations, I don’t remember when my mom bought my first pet, and I don’t remember movies as a child. I have to rewatch some of them like Sound of Music which I know we watched a million times but I had to refresh my memory. Remember Lassie? They made a million of them. I even came across a song my mom used to play when it was time to clean up that I hadn’t heard since I was little and that brought back memories.

Share some of your childhood memories the ones that you can remember that stand out to you.
