How to build a brand as an introvert

Hi….I’m an introvert and I don’t like talking to people but I have built a brand. Here is how I do it….

I separate my personal identity from my brand identity. This is pretty easy as I like to focus on my strengths. I know my weakness is crowds and speaking to them and also being in front of the camera but my strengths are customer service and marketing behind the scenes. I’m confident in my business, smart AF, and my products and services are the shat. I show up as that and let that part of me speak up the most. Beyonce has another name Sasha Fierce be someone else create the identity of who you are within the brand. It doesn’t have to be you per see but create the persona that represents the product or service you are trying to sell.

Find your social media platform. Which one works best for you? Twitter is mine (although it’s catching a lot of hell right now in 2022) I find that it’s the best platform for me to drop links, pics, and talk without being on video and creating a pretty feed. I can say what’s on my mind behind the screen (I can back it up though not trying to be a bully). You can still create reels and tik-toks without being in front of the camera. Use voiceovers because that works too. Find your platform and be great on whichever one works for your personality.

What is your introvert superpower? Mine is that I am great at customer service and making things right. I read a lot and I think a lot. That makes me great because I stay to myself so much I have time to read and write and watch movies to help me create better content and stories for my clients.

Set boundaries and learn how to say no. I think we as an introvert try to prove that we can do it all and we take on things we know we definitely don’t want to do. Learn how to set boundaries and know what you can handle and can’t. Learn how to say no to things that won’t help you in the long term. Create a schedule…of when you are at your best in the day and work through that. Add in downtime to rest or retreat from the world. Create a that gives you just enough wiggle room to be that introvert that you are and then come and get to work.
