It’s Finally Friday: August 16th

We are back with our It’s Finally Friday series. Welcome if it’s your first time here. This is the spot where I give my opinion on movies, books, articles, etc every (almost every) Friday. If you missed the last one you can see it here. This Friday I’m grateful for 3 things…Grace from God, the ability to help some college kids out, and thankful that I can say no and not feel bad about it. What are you grateful for this Friday? Without further ado let’s talk movies…Deadpool and Wolverine. I took my daughter and her friend last weekend and here are my thoughts. Welcome to it’s Finally Friday, August 16th.

It's Finally Friday august 16th

I was forced to go see this movie because I was the mom on duty with my daughter and her friends. All of us mothers take turns to do the chaperoning. I don’t sit with my kids but I do sit somewhere where I can see them. I don’t like Deadpool but I do love Wolverine. I thought the movie was ok. I think Deadpool does too much talking and joking and not enough action. The whole film was basically him and Wolverine fighting each other and then cameos from Blade and the Gambit. I don’t follow comics so I’m a bit lost on most of these characters but I will give the movie a 6 out to 10. I had already seen most of the movie from Tik Tok so really nothing was a surprise but again I’m not into Deadpool and have never seen any of the Deadpool movies because from what I saw I just didn’t like him doing all the talking but that is what makes Deadpool stand out from the rest. I will say the branding on this movie was top notch though. They were everywhere and that is how you stand out. Be everywhere even in places that you aren’t normally in.

Top 3 of the week…….

Top 3 lessons I learned while watching this film

  1. .humor is key you don’t always have to be serious in life
  2. Don’t ever underestimate the underdog he knows he isn’t a hero like all the others but he can still make a difference…his way
  3. Accept your imperfections and use it as your superpower.
