We are back and can you believe it’s almost September? We are going to blink and it will be Christmas. The stores already have Christmas decor out so it’s coming fast. BTW do you have your Christmas list ready? My mom used to buy Christmas throughout the year but I myself…I’m always last minute with stuff. Anywhoo it’s Friday you know we are back with our Finally Friday series. If you are new here we do a quick opinion of a movie, article, or something for the week and then on to my top 3 favorites. This week we are talking about saving money.
I asked on my Instagram last week if you talk to your friends about your finances. The response was an overwhelming no. Folks do not tell their friends shat. Since we are on the subject of finance we have to talk about savings. I saw this article about what people say wrong about savings.
You have to earn more than what your life costs in order to save money. If you are using all of your dollars right now, then you literally have nothing to save for later.”

You can’t save if you don’t make the money. I just started a savings account when I was in my mid 30s way late to the game but I wish I had started earlier. I could have done even 20 bucks a paycheck. Something is better than nothing. Savings come in handy when life happens because it will. How much savings should a 20 year old have? How about a 30 year old? 40? I think as a 30 year old you should have at least 5k in your savings account.
