It’s Finally Friday: Nov. 3rd

And just like that it’s Nov. This year went by really fast or is it just me? November is the time to reflect on the year and put up all the Christmas stuff. I put up things on Nov. 1st because Christmas brings me joy. Do what you need to do to bring you joy and bump what the world says if you are new around here welcome. It’s Finally Friday is a series that dives into my opinions on movies, articles, and hot topics. If you missed last week you can catch it here. It’s Finally Friday, Nov 3rd let’s get to it this week as we explore Keith Lee and Atlanta.

So Keith Lee whom everyone should know by now came to ole Atl. I’ve been saying for years that Atlanta food is trash with a capital T. I have been here for over 20 years and when I say I haven’t found a place that I love yet…it’s the truth. I’ve been to a few decent places but a place that I’m like OMG I gotta go back (not including chain spots) I haven’t found that yet.

The problem with Atlanta is that most of the popular places aren’t good and they lack customer service. I am a cook from scratch (grandma cooking) and I know my food so don’t play with me when it comes to it. Most people in Atlanta don’t know good food so they think all these brunch spots are cute and they aren’t. Keith Lee talked about OLG and that is trash, Atlanta Breakfast Club…decent but not a place I gotta go back to. I do have to try that Jamaican place he suggested but on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate most Atlanta spots a 3. Customer service sucks and that’s where it begins. I’m not paying to eat food from you when all you do is give bad service cause you have a big name backing your business. The Real Milk and Honey we went there once and someone threw up in front of us on the floor as soon as we walked in and we walked right out.

May I suggest if you want good food take a trip to Savannah, GA that is where the real foodie spot of GA is. Also…Waffle House and Cracker Barrel are probably better than most of the brunch spots in Atlanta.

Top 3 of the week…..

My top 3 Food spots in Atlanta that is decent but still ain’t the best

  1. Two Urban Licks – Decent…I’ve been here a few times. Not the best but it’s good.
  2. no. 246 – It was good. I went for a birthday dinner and I was impressed for the first time in years about a spot in Atlanta this isn’t really in Atlanta but it’s close enough.
  3. Arditi Pizzeria – It’s the best pizza spot that I’ve been to if you don’t want Papa Johns.
