podcasts are boring

podcasts are boring

But I started one lol. I only did it because I believe every business needs one of 3 main platforms…a blog, a youtube channel, or a podcast. Something extra that you can use to promote your business to those that aren’t always on social media. Since I blog over here I thought it would be nice to do a podcast for my brand She Geechee. People get to hear my broken Gullah language and I in return get to interview some great people. It’s a win-win…yes I know it may be boring to me but I realize that I am not selling for me I am selling for others and while I may find something boring someone else may find it not so boring. I’ve been trying to give podcasts a chance though and I actually am starting to like a few…..

My podcasts are quick and easy. No more than 45 min (I hate long podcasts that talk a lot. I also realize that some podcasts aren’t as long as they seem they just have 50 million commercials in it). It’s about your history because we all have a past so I’m trying to find out where you from and where you going. I also ask great questions at the end of each podcast that makes you think.

So I’m going to plug mine first then name 5 other podcasts that I actually like. I also want to plug Josh Spector who gives some insight on podcasts. (also podcasts that are youtubes are a win for me also since I’m more visual)

She Geechee

Iyanla (hers keeps my attention)

Earn your Leisure (they have some great episodes)

The daily (great resource to get your daily news fix without all the extra mess)

Black Girl Gone (I am a true crime junkie. I think I was a detective in my past life)

Nicky and Moose (he is kinda boring but they do have some great topics on there)
