I’m back joining in on the 10 on the 10th. Such a fun way to get know me. If you want to join in just follow Marsha monthly and see what the theme is and you can always make it your own. This month we are in the summer of cats because I don’t know if you all knew but I love cats so I want to share 10 cat stories and statements with you all. Some funny and some sad but hey it’s that type of summer.

- I love cats because they are easier to maintain than dogs. Less work for me, and I don’t have to walk them
- Love cats for their sassiness, but I have been scratched a time or two in my day.
- My first cat well, I can’t tell you his name because that may or may not be connected to some password questions, but I will say this I was 7 when I got him. He was a stray, my mom said I could name him and leave milk outside for him. I started to feed him things that he shouldn’t be eating like honey buns and crushed oreos.
- My mom found out and then I never saw him again…my mom said also this why we can’t have animals
- My next encounter with a cat was the neighborhood cat that I walked by every day going to school in Charleston, SC. I named him Batman because he looked mysterious. I only saw him on my way to school in the mornings, but not at any other time in the day. Even at night but every morning he was in the same spot…weird. When I went to middle school I never saw him or her again. Must have been an angel.
- My next cat was named fluffy. He was a white cat my mom was babysitting for someone. My mom kept in on the front porch but never in the house. I brought him in the house. He would never play with me and my dolls even though I did stuff him in my doll house and he got stuck. I got scratched for that.
- We had fully for a full year and I always snuck him a can of tuna. My mom said it was needed for us but I’m sure didn’t mind missing a few cans. I never fed cats the real cat food
- Fluffy was killed by something a year later. My mom didn’t tell me what killed her, but I saw her white fur all over the yard and cried.
- My kids ask me for a cat and a dog almost weekly, and my answer is always no. My son in particular loves cats and I hate to be sexist but dude….a cat.
- I may be a cat lady as I get older, though, because I can’t seem to find the man of my dreams.
I hope it was fun getting to know me and my favorite animal if I ever was to get one which I probably won’t. The kids will be mad if I do…….
