This new season I’m in

I’m back, joining in with Marsha and her fun monthly blog meetup to discuss the new season we are in. Summer is here and seasons change. Those changes are sometimes hard and sometimes easy. I want to do my own fun take on the season I’m in as being an almost empty nester. I have one grown son who still lives at home but he is always out and about. I rarely see him and my daughter is an upcoming senior in high school and she will be off to college soon. I am in a new season of having adult (semi adult) kids and I want to talk about the 10 things I’ve discovered about myself and my kids in this new season I’m in.

  1. This new season I am realizing that I put my life on hold for a long time raising kids that I don’t even know what to do first.
  2. This season is also me meeting new people and getting out of the house. I realize that I didn’t have a life and now I want to go out a little more not too much but just a little
  3. This season I’m decluttering a lot. I am holding on to the past way too much. It’s time to let it go.
  4. This is a season where I’m not driving as much …Amen.
  5. Doing new things I like this season of new things. One new thing I’m doing is picking one cookbook a week to make two things from the cookbook that I’ve never made. It’s been fun.
  6. I love that I am going back to school to get my Master’s Degree
  7. I love that I don’t have to do it all anymore and realize that something will lack and it will be ok
  8. I’m in a new season of dressing better. I’m a big girl and lived in sweats but honey it’s people bigger than me that is dressing their butts off it’s time to step it up.
  9. I’m in a season of seeing people for who they are the first time and being ok with they aren’t me and I’m not them.
  10. I’m in the season of living life the way I want to because I’m a part time mother now lol
