Are you ready to lock in for the rest of 2025?

Are you ready to lock in for the rest of 2025?

There is this new challenge going around on social media called the great lock-in. Essentially, it’s a push to lock in on your goals to end the year strong and start your 2026 year off to a great start. If you stay ready, you never have to get ready and we want to be on top of our goals before the new year begins. That way you can hit the ground running and not have to worry about starting your new year on the lazy foot. Unlike other challenges, this is something you can do on your own and create your own rules so are you ready to lock in for the rest of 2025?

I was supposed to be locked in over the Summer but got lazy and didn’t want to do anything, which made me fall off track in my goals. I was supposed to read 2 books a month, take a few classes on Coursera, cook new meals, come up with new shirt ideas for the rest of the year, take some photography classes, etc. I did nothing but sleep and go to my day job. I even fell off from making money from my affiliates this summer and that was a few hundreds I didn’t make. I fell all the way off, so now it’s time to lock in and knock out some of these goals. Also, not to mention I wanted to be under 200 pounds by the end of the year, we’re not even going to talk about that.

Is the Great lock in worth it?

I think so if you slacked most of the year and really want to knock out at least one of your goals before the year ends. That can mean you regroup and do a smaller goal,s or go ahead and put your big girl panties on and do a big goal. It’s worth it to lock in and complete something that you wanted to do for the year. Don’t go into 2026 with all the goals without doing something for yourself that you committed to.

There are no rules, all you have to do is lock in. Here is how I’ll be tackling my lock-in….

I’m not setting a specific goal I just want to do more towards the goals that I already set. So if I wanted to be under 200 pounds, I may not get there, but my goal is to continue to work towards eating better and moving my body. Increase that more and not care about the final results.

I wanted to read two books a month, so I joined two book clubs that will hold me accountable.

I want to do better with videos for my t-shirt brand, so I will increase that and use UGC people to help me or find someone on Fiverr to create posts for me.

I want to get back into affiliates, so I am watching a YouTuber as I go and signed up for their newsletter.

I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and speak at a few events and network. I’m speaking to 3 and I’ve been on 4 podcasts, and I intentionally looked for those things.

So I have goals and I plan on increasing the smaller things within those goals to achieve the bigger goal. If that makes sense.

Create a lock-in ritual – something you do daily (even weekends) to lock in on a goal

Create a Failure bucket – put some mini goals in the bucket so on days you are being lazy and just don’t wanna do it you have to pull from that bucket and do something small. For example, if I want to read more I can read one page of a book. Mini and doable even on lazy days.

Post on the holidays – I know most people take off during the holidays. Commit to not taking those days off and working through them.

Find an accountability partner – Ask around on threads to see if someone will commit with you to do one thing per week. I have someone I email for that weekly and we hold each other accountable for goals.

How will you lock in for the rest of the year?
