Hi all my name is Kita Bryant (Allen is my married name but I go by Bryant) I am a widow who has two kids. A grown son and a girl who is almost 16. I am originally from Charleston, SC but reside on the East Side of GA (Conyers). I am a data analyst by day and a photographer in the evenings. I have been through a lot losing half of my family due to various things and then my husband. Grief took over my life for years but now I’m taking my life back from it and truly coming into the grown-grown Kita. BTW I don’t mention my age often but I am in my early 40s and I am a millennial who just made it by inches. I wanted to write this post so that you all can get to know me, my journey, and what this blog is all about.
My Journey
I came to Atlanta in 2000 to attend Clark Atlanta University. I got my degree and got married and stayed here to raise kids. I am an introvert but I can be outside. I wanted to be an author when I was younger but didn’t think there was money into that so I decided to get a degree in Business with a concentration in marketing and management…come to find out there isn’t any money into that either. Still, in the back of my head, I thought one day I could own a marketing agency….I’m still in that dream phase lol. I keep to myself a lot but I love to write and tell a story. Many people call me a great storyteller and they say I’m funny. I don’t think I’m funny I’m just real and that is what you will get on this website. I use AI but it won’t write my posts for me and if I mention a product or a brand it’s one I’ve bought myself because I want to tell you the truth before you go and spend your money.
I picked up a camera to take photos of my daughter back in 2010 and took photos daily for years. One of my blog buddies asked me to take her engagement photos and I did so for $25 bucks. It came out so good that I started dabbling into photography and now have built my photography business into a beautiful lucrative hobby. I say hobby because I’m low-key key you won’t know I take photos unless you come to this page or someone refers you to me.
I had a business called She Geechee where I sold shirts based on my culture but I was tired of having two separate websites so I combined my shirts to this website on my shop page. I didn’t want to combine but I also knew that I needed to cut down on stuff for my well-being and sometimes you have to do what’s best for you and not for others.
Other than that I’m really chill, love to read, and love my naps.

This blog contains all the things I like because the website is Kita Bryant. Here you will find recipes that I love to make, places I’ve visited, some business advice (I’m a lover of small businesses), a tidbit of photography, maybe some parenting advice for teens, and anything else I want to share. I am the niche.
I blog twice a week at the least with a post every Friday called It’s Finally Friday which is my series on articles, tv shows, or things I want to discuss. Social media is cute but my blog is what I own so socials is just an extension of this website.
You will always learn here and I promise you will walk away with something even if it’s just a laugh. I got this idea to do this post from Amber Janae. (Always give credit to others who give you ideas. Don’t copy but be inspired).
